Time of Trauma

Hello BookLovers,

My heart goes out to everyone who has ever experienced a life obstacle that is truly a trauma.  When I met Jake I had no clue that he has an instagram rock star and as well as his books he has written. Before interviewing him, I asked him which one of his books is most important to him. That's when he mentioned his book, Time of Trauma. I had no clue that Jake has gone through so much but reading his book was deep and heartfelt. It was very poetically written.

I was impressed with the way he takes you through the cycle of grieving. I am so proud that he was open enough to talk about his traumatic events that had happened in his life and how he was able to recover from them.  My favorite thing about the book is that he reassures that you are never alone even when you feel like you are. I really love that because it’s a topic that I talk about as well as in my book. I truly hope that you pick up this book and find comfort in knowing that healing through whatever comes your way is possible and that you remember you are never alone.

Please let me know if you will be picking up this book. If you are still not sure please check out our author interview that is still posted on instagram. It was a delight to get to meet Jake Ranney. I am honored that he took the time to let us have time with him to hear his story. I do hope that you check it out. No matte what you may be going through, you too can pull through.

In Light & Love,

Alice McMurtry

In life’s journey, who are you showing up to be?

Hello Book Lovers,

I am asking this question because I just finished reading, “Cryo Zyphos And The Legend of Lyceta.”  The twins Lucy and Leo go through trials and tribulations; especially, after their father’s death. But throughout the story, I noticed that they still showed up wanting to do the best they can for them and the kingdom. Through the ups and downs they made life happen in the story. This story is for mature young adult and up, it’s well written, and the story line pacing is page turning. It made me reflect, how am I showing up, even in life’s journey and the battles it brings. So, now it’s your turn to share… In life’s journey, who are you showing up to be?

Happy Reading,

Alice McMurtry
